At the state level, the possibility of constructing units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) has been under consideration for a long time. There are many contradictions among the population, the public, and the authorities because there are both opponents and supporters of the implementation of this project. The Khmelnytskyi NPP is a budget-generating enterprise of the Khmelnytsky region, and the construction of new power units consists of a number of environmental, economic, and social consequences.

Considering this, it is very important to form a public vision of this state project. For this, the Khmelnytskyi Energy Cluster team held a Hackathon: "Khmelnytskyi NPP: Threat or Opportunity?". Its goal - is the formation of various scenarios for the development of the Khmelnytskyi region and the 30-kilometer zone near the Khmelnytskyi NPP in the context of possible options for the operation of the Khmelnytskyi NPP. Another task of the hackathon is to raise this topic to a new level of discussion with a wide range of involved stakeholders.

The event was attended by representatives of the KNPP, the public, authorities, and mass media. Thanks to the active position of the participants of the hackathon, three scenarios of the development of events were formed. They were designed in the form of infographics, which were distributed through mass media and social networks. The infographics: https://cutt.ly/JJSaGI5
