Representatives of the Khmelnytskyi Energy Cluster joined the working group on the development of the Regional Energy Plan for the Khmelnytskyi Oblast for 2025-2030.
During the meeting, the members of the working group discussed the prospects and challenges of implementing the Regional Energy Plan, presented the results of successfully implemented energy projects, including those using renewable energy sources.
The goals of the energy plan include ensuring regional energy independence and sustainability, implementing energy efficiency measures and reducing financial costs at facilities financed from the oblast budget.
This document will soon be published on the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Administration's website, allowing everyone to comment on its content.
During the meeting, Head of the Board Stepan Kushnir presented a vision of the current state and prospects for the development of renewable energy in 2025. Communication Manager Svitlana Karytun provided a number of comments on the inexpediency of building a waste incinerator, taking into account the new Ukrainian legislation on household waste management, the experience of European countries, EU legislation, and Ukraine's strategic goal of moving towards waste reduction, reuse, and recycling as a part of a circular economy.
